tx munge.

like everything else, mosquito tolerance is lost over time.

having grown up in chicago (winters and summers to compare with any for brutality) one would expect that I would never complain about the weather.

yet, having moved to san francisco (most habitable climate on earth, year-round), without fail I am now seemingly unable to tolerate any temperature above 80 degrees.

humans are great at adaptive expectations.

I'm about to go into the Winds. Nothing in the Sierra even comes close to the bloodsuckers there. Ever led in a headnet? The maddening drone after a few days is even worse than the bites. I just console myself that they make the fishing better, and make due with some twisted revenge pulling a proboscis or 30 through the tent netting.

Mozzies were pretty ferocious and in abundance in the Eastern Sierras (Incredible Hulk area) this past wkend. The 100% DEET I had did little to deter the swarm . Does any one have recommendations on effective, less noxious DEET alternatives?
