I'm in, I would really like to help Tyrus out in anyway, he was a student of mine when he was a 4th grader and deserves this help, it will give him more choices for what he wants to do, he is such a great kid who works very hard in what he does.

It's hard to believe that I knew John for more than 30 years. It's harder to believe that he's gone.

Please count me in on a donation for Tyrus. Let me know how.

"If you need a web site for the fund, you got it. I've set up Paypal donation pages for Vern C. and others, and I'm willing to donate whatever assistance that's needed in this area."

Tom K.

It looks like Tom's offer is the best so far.
A web page with a couple of really great shots of John (hard to pick!), some highlights from the timeline thread, and some reference to Tyrus's future needs would be awesome it seems to me. A link to this page could be kind of permanently posted here on Supertopo. We could also post that link on other climbing sites, even in other countries, like http://www.ukclimbing.com/

I already posted a suggestion over there that some of those folks post over here, and I've seen a few new euro posts in the last couple days.

So what is happening with this ? I agree with Ron G. and R. Vogel. This should be a well thought out plan, started now....pro should be a trust fund with an administrator(s). I too would be glad to help. Lookin' Sketchy and Ron G. has anyone emailed you ? Lynne

Thanks Ron, understand and feel your pain and loss. So much hurt, pain and sorrow swirling around now. Just didn't want this to fade. I'll wait and when the time is right I'll be glad to help.

thanks Lynne, I deleted my post 'cause I just can't process much right now, total confusion, hope you don't mind, but I had this "feeling" yo got the message. You feel free to pass it on, but I just don't know if what I'm saying is good. Had a GREAT talk with John Jr. tonight, that helped me a lot. I know you understand what I'm saying.
Peace

I do Ron and you made perfect sense. Peace to you Friend who comforted me and has continued to do so in my time of huge hurt and sorrow.

Really believe John is with Dan Boy up in the vast, invisible, but real world of heaven ....I just know. The acute pain of loss here is hell, but then we'll be with them when our numbered days count down to 0=Heaven. Hope this makes sense to you friend and hope Kelly gave you my message. As jb would say and would want us to say.....cheers, lynne

Burp,

Thanks for your ideas, I'm awaiting some developments from the family before I offer anything up in the way of prints, but I'm very concerned for Tyrus and want to help him. And it's one way his dad can still provide for his son. I will let everyone know when this happens.

Insofar as a collection of photos in book form, I agree there should be something. So far just dealing with John's loss and running a business is taking every effort, but it is something I'm reflecting on. I'm gratified there is interest, and I know John certainly would be.

Hi Phil Bard, talked with jb about several different books he might produce. He had book projects on his to do list. JB indicated he respected Paola's writing skills and she was involved in some of his writing projects. Lots to think about and taking the time pro will be key. Hope to meet you someday ....respectfully, lynne
