Go Lynn - you are the best. I promise to be home for you and Owen to visit my pile of wierd metal the next time you are in T'ride. You rocked the T'ride climbing scene back in 1979.

Lynn...for many years it has been the tradition at the NC Outward Bound School to show your video on climbing the Nose to students during the climbing section of their course. The night before they do their multi-pitch climb on Table Rock Mountain they have their one opportunity during their course to actually come inside at our Basecamp and hear a presentation on the "History of Rock Climbing" followed by the showing of your video. Even when other great climbing videos and DVDs have come out your story was the top choice of the instructors and the climbing staff for the students. We had shown it so many times that it finally wore out a few days before I traveled back to Telluride for Mountainfilm several years ago. I told you about our tradition and the video.... and when I returned to Outward Bound there were 2 new videos there waiting. Thank you again for your gift and the tradition continues!!

hey there, say, lynne..

god bless to you, in all you do...
may the fullness of who you are, make your friends' lives richer by far...

when sadly, some do pass away...
remember that you did your part, to make wonderful, their day...

now then, too, you must take care and remember you...
and not be too blue...

life goes on for a reasons...
and you must make the best of our seasons...

and someday the time will come...
when you look back on a road, well done...

being part of new lives and new adventures, needs to come...
so you will have run your course, grandly, when the years are done...

god bless... set a spell, think, learn, and smile, and press on...

Lynn Hill rocks! Back in the late 70s and early 80s, I watched her shred at JT many times. She's a phee-nom, and was a huge inspiration to my wife. I've always appreciated her positive, focused, kind of understated presence on the scene. She lets her climbing do the talking. Silent spray (spray not being used derogatorily here).

Just a bump to add that I've known Lynn (perhaps not well,) since we were teenagers at Joshua Tree and have always admired her. What an inspirational figure for both climbers and humans in general! Peace, Michael Paul.

Lots of people Lurk and don't post. I think in many ways it is smart because people do twist words and create drama, etc.

I don't see why she needs to "post" in order to be relevant on a climbing forum.

I have met her a couple of times. She autographed her book for me.

Dr. F, she probably has better things to do than post here.

I had the lucky opportunity to work on her almost a year ago. Her shoulder had been giving her issues. It was nice of her to write a testimonial for my massage biz. Thanks again Lynn
