Any ideas on how these rings were made???

The pic is taken from a trail that runs on a short ridge between Buttermilk Road and Swall Meadows. The clouds looked to be above the Druids and Wilkerson.

Lots of nice clouds today here in the desert SJV around about sundown.

I'm proud to be on the same page with you other shutterbugs, I must say.

Walley, you in particular.
I'm gonzo, you're...immaculate.

Blitzo, you're still hangin' in! Good show, FF! What are friends for, if not to remember the fallen?

One more for the road.

Not bad for my daily commute. Sorry about the stitch artifacts, though.

Just a flat-out high speed burn... Then onto the CO freeway, and straight on into frantic oblivion. Safety. Obscurity. Just another freak in the freak kingdom.

Bravo, that was nice. Dan Deacon's good stuff.

Thanks, too, for the mention. A Mousey Style is developing based on what's available to shoot and how I learn to use this great Canon. At bottom, I'm jealous of you and SLR (what a wealth of experience, SLR!) and several others who get to blend the celestial with the terrestrial.

But, as Blitzo said, clouds ARE nice, especially when they bring rain and snow. And so I let slip the bonds of earth and hang out in the cloud tops, as if I were flying.

Unlike the clouds, and you fellers, I'm stuck in one place and no one wants to see the same ground, the same old Merced, all the time.

So I guess that Mousey thing means concentrating on thunderheads and sunsets and no horizon. I just wish I could get outta town a lot more, but I have learned to bloom where I've been planted, as neebee says.

Yesterday was pretty spectacular and wet, too.

Let's go to the next page and I'll show you the storm.

The San Joaquin got a good drenching on Tuesday and the mountains got snow.

The snow line was probably maxxed out at 4,000'.

hey there say, mouse... i will have to look for some recent clouds, here... i have to kind of bloom where i am planted here, as to the CLOUDS...

being that, the best views for them, are quite a few blocks away, at the old address... but i have found a few great views, here, ... will keep an eye out for them...

the key is, of course, weather changes...

i missed a good day, one of the best, but--i was leaving for a friends, i think? that day, and did not take them... missed the open door, the rest of the week, there were 'none that great'... :)

time will come around again... course, when out in the greatoutdoors, you find such vast space and areas, for many more 'changes to arise'... or, FLOAT BY, i should say, ;))

hey there say... oh my, you know... i just MIGHT have even posted these, as well... (unless i did all these at the facebook) ...

but i DO remember that i posted many nice cloud set-ups, from the OLD neighborhood... i just do not have time to LOOK back and see if i posted these, though... so some MAY be repeats... :) but, you know:

CLOUDS ARE NICE! :)

AND THESE are the hidden glimpses, that come from the other side of the yard... were a different day, i think? perhaps...

bit of rainy clouds, there, that last one, ;)
