Great trip and great report Maysho!

I can imagine i:, but the best I ever managed was 18 miles on skate skis, on a track, no pack, in two hours.

What you did was a whole different universe.

A cool spring adventure, that would kill most people.

What the hell, I will bump my own old thread just to put something cooler on the front page. February, time to start psyching up for some spring skiing adventures!

Though snow is finally on the way, end of the week...

tx for the bump, this is one of my favorite trs here.

the older one, skating across the divide, is probably my favorite.

i really envy the folks with the time and the technical skills to push the envelope on ultra-light tours. i read these and think, "whoah, you could skate into ------, then climb ------, and then get back into town before bar time!"

Great stuff.

I imagine, in the right conditions, a skier could really make good time skating in the backcountry.

Add a kite? Ha ha...

Cheers!

The trans-sierra one is an all-time classic, but this is the first time I saw this one and it's also great!

I too like the quote of training all winter for that day.

Peter (eKat, Doug, others) -- Any idea if the High Route has been done in winter, with or without skis?
