The best pack I have ever owned. Have had it for over 15 years. I love it so much I "go easy" on it, so as not to damage it (I really should buy another).

+1 for the CCW Ozone.

Just got mine today. Went with yellow 1050 and used a few mods per RDW's post - have say that this is one slick pack that reeks of durability and design elegance.

All this, american made, and a way competitive price...

Thanks Randy!

Buyers remorse bump.

With so many packs to choose from, a strict budget, and time for me to look but not touch,
I choose a type and shape and features that I recognized.

The black diamond, from thirty years ago, the Son of Crag, is a double lined Cordura, simple tapering sack, there is a North Face that took elements from the Son of C and added a zipper mounted just off center, full length super burly fully Velcro protected, by a inch deep storm flap. The closet thing to an old Wild Country Alpinist with out all the transforming ability.
It is now twenty years old.

I looked at a hundred packs under $100.00 .and saw that the Stone 45 a Black Diamond rig was the same with out double daisy chains but a two buckle two pocket removable top.
Very like the way I carried the Alpinist and the north face,

When the pack arrived and I compared the three packs the new one is short of the mark in durability and all I have done is stuff it full to overloaded gear testing it.
It is an effort to like this new pack .

I like to fall in love with my gear day one, on sight. So it will be a long night.
