Wish I could afford you, Jerry (I'm poor, he's not expensive). I'd come hang out. I'm sure I'd learn new tricks and it certainly sounds like fun!

Jerry,
I've greatly admired your stuff since I first saw it.
Would you consider putting on the ritz south of the Modesto/Dixon Line say in Trona or Baker? You know, a little more convenient to SoCallies?

THAT is Hilarious!
Of course I'd consider it. In addition to the bigger workshops, I also do private lessons and photo tours on location for individuals or small groups of up to five folks. If this interests you lets talk and work out the dates/details/location.

Just got back from Thailand after a 10 day mini vacation and was looking back...see if I missed anything important...
when I saw this post of Jerry's.
Thought I'd bump it in case anyone else might have missed it.
Besides being in favor of supporting our local Taco community, I had a blast.
If you can swing it money/time wise, you aught to go for it.
The class is not neccessarily for newbees, though Jerry does a pretty good job with those folks too. I'd say for me the best part (besides making some new friends) was just focusing (no pun intended) on photography with like minded folks for the week. I learned tons too and got a chance to work developing my photos in a low key friendly place. I think sitting around looking at our chosen photos in a critique/sharing format was a real learning experience. In fact my buddies here (all 3 of us:>) follow this format about once a month now to further the learning and help focus us towards better picture taking (its also a great excuse to eat and drink good food)...
Though Jerry won't make a photographer out of you, he'll certainly give you some worthy tools, encouragement, and desire to do better (shite look at HIS work!). The making of a photographer though is up to you.
Cheers,
DD

Did anyone here sign up? I think the class is full now.
Latest news on workshops is that I'll be working as Assistant Instructor for Mountain Light Photo Workshops this summer and fall, alongside John Shaw and David Muench! Check out details and sign up here: http://www.mountainlight.com/workshops.html
