i STARTED A THREAD WAY BACK AND CAN'T REMEMBER THE TITLE. I'M TRYING TO REMEMBER THE DATA ON THE RIFLE THIS FELLOW DESIGNED. HE WAS X MILITARY AND DESIGNED THE RIFLE AS A SORT OF "EVERYMAN" FIREARM. I'D APPRECIATE ANY SPECIFICS SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE ON THIS KILLING MACHINE. I'D LIKE TO TAKE A LOOK AT ONE NEXT WEEK. IF YOU KNOW APPROXIMATE PRICE, CALIBER ETC., PLEASE POST.

IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW, THERE'S SUPPOSED TO BE A SIGNIFICANT AMMO SHORTAGE IN THE US NOW. THIS MUST BE DUE TO SOME OF YOU GUYS SELLING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF IT OVER THE SOUTHERN BORDER. ME--HEE--CO'S PROBLEMS ARE ALL OUR FAULT. OF COURSE, THE ONLY WAY TO STOP ALL THIS IS TO GET CONTROL OF ALL THOSE NASTY FIREARMS WE HAVE HERE IN THE STATES. AND I'M SURE WE'LL HERE MORE ALONG THOSE LINES IN THE NEAR FUTURE ALONG WITH ENORMOUS TAXES ON AMMO, REQUIRED INSURANCE VIS A VIS GUN OWNERS ETC. mIND YOU, THE DEMS AREN'T GOING TO TAKE OUR GUNS; IT MAY BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO USE THEM, THOUGH. ANYONE KNOW MUCH ABOUT CROSSBOWS?

Foolish old man.....A modern bow(compound or longbow, or combo thereof) is superior to a crossbow. Gun Nuts have an aversion to (re)learning skills, huh? That's too bad.

Now, now, I've almost gotten my microwave oven figured out.
It seems to me a crossbow, although slow to load, is easier to aim and fire for accuracy. Of course, a real, manly archer would deride the modern competitive bow with all the wussy pulleys and doo daads. He'd only deign to use a 150lb compound bow a la the Mongols.

This isn't a thread you started Woody, but it's interesting none-the-less. A weapon that is convertible from a flashlight you can stick in your back pocket.

Couchmaster,

I've got to get one of those. Thanks for the info. I wonder how long before it's on the market?

Hate to have to clear a stove pipe on that thing in the presence of a bad guy!

Not quite ready for prime time.
