8 years later and it is found? Pretty amazing. You should probably e-mail the OP as he may not browse here very often. Well done!

I dropped on the Nose, bitd!

Purple or orange something.

Edit: wasn't an accident, though!

I made a promise to always wear mine on some way. So here is my solution and chouinard jewelry solution.

High on a multi-pitch in the Potrero I reached in to my pocket for my chapstick and as I pulled it out a 200 peso bill went flying off into the wind. Don't carry $ with me any more when I climb--there's nothing to buy up there anyway.

Awesome! Your ring lived longer than most marriages, I so hope it gets back to the OP. Supertopo at its best (even better than when it emboldens me to tie in for a lead).

Found it right below the stovelegs on a biner just as he described. Tarnished but unblemished.

Christmas eve, just waiting for the kids to wake up, so I grab the iPad to kill some time... Can't believe it! Be so psyched to get it back! The email on file here is no longer active...

Probably blue tape... Though 2005 So not sure. The ring has a Philippians reference inscribed inside, though might not be visible after nearly a decade!

I don't believe it.... I've climbed in the valley probably a dozen times since losing it in August of 2004... Virtually every trip I hike to the base of the captain and look around just in case! I even considered getting a metal detector for the next trip... Given that it was on a biner I figured it would turn up eventually, but after 9 years I'd given up.

Btw, my wife and I are happier today in year 16 than we were year 1
