Hi, I'm looking for a ryobi gasoline drill, anyone know where can I find 1 today? new or used.
If someone want to sell theirs, please contact me. Thanks.
BTW, how does a hilti te6a compare to a ryobi ? I'm thinking if I can't find a ryobi, will a te6a work drilling hard granite?

Just a heads-up that there was a gas-powered Ryobi stolen from a crag under development just east of Seattle a year or so ago. So if someone from that area tries to sell you a used one, post a note here and we'll try to make sure it isn't the hot one.
I don't think it was taken by a climber -- there is a huge community of 4-wheelers that frequent the area, and we suspect it was probably one of them.

I've had one for quite a few years, no its not for sale.
It's an ok drill, but unless you'll be drilling alot of holes in a session you'll likely prefer a cordless drill. The ryobi is heavy and loud, and the carburator is pretty sensitive to atmospheric conditions, i.e. you need to tweak the mixture to get the engine to run properlly.
Hilti's kick azz, I had a te-10A, the 6A is mo betta. The big advantage of the cordless drills is you can mount the battery on a sling and end up with a fairly light drill in your hand. There are situations where you will be drilling one handed, and that is very difficult with the ryobi.
You can find used hilti's sans batteries on flea bay for pretty reasonable prices. Build up a couple of sla battery packs and you'll be well set up.
