Guy calls the Poison Center last week, tells me his 2-year-old son got into the medication and had swallowed a few tablets: the little guy was also, acccording to dad, feeding some to the dog. Fortunately, it was something for lowering cholesterol, pretty harmless stuff, so I tell the father not to worry. Dad says: "Yeah, that's what the vet said."

I would say "you gotta be kidding me", unfortunately, I've worked with students in the past who's parents would've surprised me more by calling the PCC in the first place...

Dare I ask your response to Dad of the Year??

Guy probably figured the vet would answer faster.

Have you ever called a doctor's office and got a real live person lately?

Two year old and dog might even be the same size.

Because if the kid dies, Dad's going straight to the Vet!
