Sushi will be served Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th.

The 16th is Presidents Day holiday.

There are also a few birthdays around that time we'll be celebrating - The Doctors, MisterE(?), P. Envy.

We'll be on the West Side of the Stronghold. I suggested we scatter our camps. Main headquarters will be on the west side of the road around the Isle of You.

A new and improved Pinchatorium™ will be provided.

It's the standard fare: $30/night/person. I'm requesting but not requiring a facilitation fee of $5 or more (I need to purchase a new sushi tent as we beat the other one up pretty bad). IF you only do veggie sushi it's half off.

I'm not sure if Burning Barn will play.

I'll sponsor 1 volunteer who gets a free buy-in. Their job is dishes, chores, and general help for most of the two days. A break will be alloted so you can climb a route ;-).

List of probables:

Gregg (Fish Finder)
MisterE
P. Envy
The Doctor
Tony
PMB
Prod (maybe)
happie (trying)
wtfd (coz he's doing dishes?)
Lynne
DR (is tempted)
survival (will try)
up2top (solid yes!) wait, do conservatives eat sushi?
Mtnmun - 90% but his sweetheart might not like the idea
radical - I think I got a yes
Ghost - a very definite maybe
Forst and Michelle - uh.... locs gonna miss out?
Rich Simms - he's in!
Mike. - maybe, will bring keg
Manny - he's in

and of course....

how could I possibly...

My cat coughs up all kinds of interesting stuff. Sometimes raw fish, but usually mixed up in a hairball. How would you like me to send it to you?

I knew this was coming... I suppose it depends on how generous the rest of the crowd wants to be.

I mean... I was only in the hole on fish about $300-$500 after yosemite... so um.... hmmm
:-)

of course we all know The Doctor has no money. Veggie sushi for him - no Uni is planned :-(

Nature, you're going to have to start giving out wrist bands
to those who've paid up, and 'no wristband, no sushi'.
You're too daXX generous!

PS you ought to pop an extra dollar on t shirt sales
to recoup some of it, or charge more for sushi. . .

MisterE - bad troll! BAD!!!

Yeah, the logistics of making it happen. I was wondering today if anyone along the way (me being on the 1-15 in N. San Diego County is going and would like to ride share with me ?

Course yo would need credentials, sworn affidavits and a sign in blood about climbing a couple times with a (as Locker says) noobie. I could go thru LA or up I-8.

Yeah, Timmy, alot of people would say, "I'm out there." hehe. Just got home from work. Went to work Early today and got alot done....New Year and all.

Didn't realize til Eric told me at Josh this weekend that this big par-tee is to celebrate Yo and The Doctor and Mr. E's Birthday's.

Sure hope I can make it. Even after a year it's challenging to make life happen solo.

Finally, Will there be the Musica? My favorite thing in 2008 was the campfire music at Yellow Pine. Get the harmonica tuned, Bro. Yo and the Posse are the Best. Lynne

Hey Doug,

I'm thinking of coming down for the shindig at Cochise next month. I have bad tendinitis in both elbows, and am waiting to hear the prognosis from my ortho next week before I make any definite plans. Even if my arms are still trashed, though, I may still come down and hang out: I can always follow people around and offer unwanted, incorrect, but enthusiastic beta. During the poker games, of course -- it would be wrong to do that at the cliff. Besides, my daughter is hoping that I can sell a couple more sushi chalk bags :)

Lynne: We're not sure but Burning Barn might play. I'm trying to get Tony down here but I know he's really broke and probably can't afford it (you don't know tony but he's the Barns' song writer)

Brian: yeah, you should make it. There's always someone in camp or lounging about. Sorry to hear about the elbow. sushi chalk bags!

Tim: Saturday and Sunday night. I'm heading down Friday afternoon to set up camp. Did you get a date for v-day? If not it sounds like you and the PMB are odd men out. Enjoy the snuggle time ;-)

You should be able to find someone to climb with before/after. I won't be able to tho...

Pagan,

I'm afraid you might have to get a 'brazilian', and that might cost you thousands. I am looking to go climbing early Friday at Lemon, how about that. We could trip down to Cochise that evening? I am going to arrive Tuscon Thursday afternoon and can help nature abduct yogi hotties...er I mean load stuff in his trailer if necessary. Forest that makes sense especially with a group. Doug I take it the firewood is bulk. Let me know what kind of help you need.

I can just picture it.... the monkey boy in a "trim shop" covered head to toe in wax. All the ladies working there are all grinning at the fact that they get to start ripping his hair off. They fill a dumpster. He's left with nothing but his eyebrows, a little fuzz below the lip and the hair coming out his.... um... oh nevermind... the visual just made me burp up a little stomach fluid.

Tim: are you bringing the truck or the car? I have to work Friday morning but hope to be leaving town by 3PM at the latest. We can pack the trailer on Thursday night. I'll stay sober so I can drive to pick up PMB who comes in around 10PM.

Firewood is in bulk. It's two blocks away and they have all sorts. A full wheel barrow of pine costs $20, mesquite $30. The guy has a lot full of wood. I should be able to have room in the All-In™. And yeah... Forest has a good point... and besides, why make more work for ourselves?

East side Doug. Why so. Isn't there camping REALLY close to cragging at the west? A real big camp. Last time we were there it was heavily impacted by a whole slew of horse people. I don't know much about the east, but would always prefer close climbing at Sushi fests. And I've got to bring my sedan, the truck tires are no gud and won't be replaced immediately. Maybe a Tusconite can help with a little wood haul. Advise.

We have raw fish, firewood, good fiends (including the women ;-), and raw fish (oh i said that) and a keg of yummy beer. It sucks to be anyone but us this weekend!

EAst on I-10 to Benson Exit 303

South on AZ 80 to Tombstone

Travel about 20 miles.

Right before you enter Tombstone Take a left onto Middle March Road

Follow this dirt road for about 10 miles.

Take a Left onto Forest Service Road 687 - you'll be looking up (north east) at the Dragoons. You'll be traversing along the west side of this range. It's pretty obvious.

Go about 2 miles on this Dirt road. Our camp will be off of this road.

Bah. Once again, I am denied the sushifest, this time despite living in Tucson!

Originally, the plan was to drive down saturday morning, climb something and enjoy the fest in the evening.

Then, things got crazy with needing to spend most of the weekend on wedding plans. So we'd just drive down late afternoon on saturday, enjoy the fest, and maybe get in a bit of cragging on sunday morning.

then, we'd just plan to leave in the morning.

Then, things on saturday took forever. It was 7pm by the time we all packed to leave town, and michele was feeling a bit under the weather. Doing a 3.5 hour round trip drve for 12 hrs of sushifest, most of it asleep, seemed absurd.

And that's how sushifest slipped away yet again...

Yeah, I kind of suck
