hey there guys... someone, please... say:
i have worked at trying to this for near 9 hours last night, and cannot find anyway to get this to install right, or work, or anything...

then, i had to get up early, and then came home and tried for a few more hours, took a fast break, and now i may have to go another 9-10 hours, and then have to get up early and i am fading-out some...

1---workforce500, was at a special cheaper price than the other printers, and, i was desperate for one, for near 2 year, or more... (i have windows xp, i think it is 2000, also)...

2---supposedly, i did this right... but one never can tell... the icons showed up, it shows the printer in here---but it said to plug in the usb cord, and nothing happened... NOW-- i CONTINUALLY get the message that:

3---the printer is NOT ready yet... make sure the cables are connected... (it only has an usb and a plug) both in, ONE is in the socket, and one is in the computer where it belongs...
PS=(should i have gotten a printer that DID NOT have one of these usb cords)--but how was i to know?

4--the test page will not print, it just says "error"
5--the ink monitors do not show any ink, and say "unknown"--most likely cause it is not reading any "line" to the printer...
6---yes, the printer and its settings DO show that there is ink... and it is on and ready to go...

7---any ideas... i am veryyyyyyyyyy tired... not sure if i want to call it quits and take this back, the others are more expensive and so is the ink...

workforce500? hahahaha

Who is the manufacturer? Model number?

Install the proper drivers, you have them don't you?

And you say you have windows XP? But you say it might be windows 2000?

Which operating system is it now???????

hey there werner.... yeah, i know the "hahaha"... i did not really want a FULL-UP deal like this, but after a check on the best ink deals, for someone in my "boat", the every day best for me to buy, was for this printer....

i liked the old epson stylus color, whatever, but it konked out... after these last two years did it in... (was going not so well, for awhile before that, too)... but i got a lot of use out of it....

i got the softwhere...

well, werner, thanks for the laughs... i know, it is toooo much and has toooo many buttons, so more can go wrong, but it was on sale, with rebate, and i could not afford the other ones, (except for two others that had expensive ink, too)...

welllllllllllll, thanks for trying to help me, there, werner...

seems that the cables cant be loose, either...

i am getting off line, and am trying to unistall, and start again...

i never had this trouble when i followed the rules, and had put in the other printer, before and a few other "less complicated" software...

i rekcon, i just dont got what "computers like" is all...
:O

i will be back....HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.... :)

hey there rokjox... say, thanks for showing up here to help... say:

i tried it in the usb's, one was a tad wider, but not much---but both had the usb "signature"... very odd (and = the other item, which was the san-disk, the "something else" did work in BOTH of those plug-ins... BUT:

guess what?

just now, tonight, before i left, i DID even try it in that, until i saw that there was no "signature" showing it was a usb port... (so, NOW, i have discovered THAT, too)....

well all----i decided this as just toooooooo much trouble, so i TOOK it back... and i exchanged it for something that i had not even seen, as it had not come in with their orders yet...

i will NOW go and try this... and we shall see what we shall see... (or, i will, at any rate... )... and will let you know what happened...

so far, in case this ever happens to someone, no on has been able to figure out what was wrong... they, and the the epson sight, said it had the proper cable, too... and even if the port was not the "faster running" port, it would still work, they all said...

well...thanks for trying...

*okay, werner, hope this next one won't need tooooooooo many "haha"s... :)

hey there any and all helpers-now-done...

well, say all... i took the ol' "reride" on the printer-bronc... seems i near took at being lost in the dust of "bronc hoof land"... but i made it---through no skills though, of my own---but through the "luck of the draw"...

seems i thought i had installed it right...

1---yet, they tell you NOT to use the install new hardware, so you are not to have the usb cord in...

2--last time, i never used the "found new hardware" though it DID show up, later, after the DISC instalation was done...

2a---when nothing happend, i took it ALL out and did it again, and this time, later, when the "new hardware deal-thing" (message window) showed up, i used it...
same affects, only THIS time, at least a printer icon was added and acknowledge in the DISPLAY section...
2b---yet, the computer could never find it, and all prints failed...

NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW----as to the ol' reride...
all seemed well, it even said it actually WAS installed...

1---but... the new hardward-deal-thing kept "popping up"... and when i tried the test pages, it always failed---BUT THIS TIME, it was saying it was just a communication (not the blank nothingness of "being no help at all"...

2--so, i turned off computer and and the printer and turned it all on again---and here is where the ol' reride gave me the winning points, and NO dust-to-face, to have to face:
2x--it NOW started saying "add more hardware" etc, as new was found for: usb stuff, and drives... so thus, i added it all... and CHINNING THE OL' MOON, the victory came!
2y---though, only after i checked the display-section and oddly found TWO printer icons now, for the same printer (though early, i had been prompted to give it a smaller name)...
2z---well, i ran with the printer-broncs wild twist, and marked the second so-called installed (with all that extra jazz, afore mentioned)... and I GOT A PRINT, FOLKS!...

thanks to the grace of the good lord helping me take this ride to victory... i mean:

say, i jumped OFF once... and quite POSSIBLY could a' done it again...

ahhhhhhhh, saga of neebee in computer-arena-riding-land, is once again coming to a sucessful close (folks had helped me before, here, when i needed to finish a novel, and microsoft word was DOWN RIGHT wording hard---well, working hard... if you get my drift...

:) thanks all...

also, edit: it worked out for good, as i got to pass out three of my cards--and tell folks there about my seizure-awareness novels...

*happy riding...

Sorry to hear about your troubles, NeeBee, but I'm glad you decided that bronc will be broken, and got back on to ride it.

Guess you showed that thing who the boss is....I think I know where you got Smokey, Jade's husband. He seemed like a determined cuss, too. That was my favorite character.......Smiles.

hey there ... say, thanks skully.... say, you hit the "m" by mistake... i know that---being that you already read one of the books, "stoney"s the name, bulls was his game .... (say, also, since you liked him best in the novel, i wanted to let you know

he is (fictional of course) but very special to me, too, so i gave him to jade (though jake, is the "ace" for being the hero-line there, for sofia), for such a story), so i gave stoney the last name to be from a street i used to live on that was full of the great outdoors (holton)--full of stones along the edges, and the woods, deer, wildflowers, snowy fields, wide open sky full of stars at night... and full of marshy grasslands, and very rough, and rugged, in many spots, and slightly wild--yet full of open commpasion enough to send up blooms from around 75 different types of wild flowers, as if for every need or deed under the son, when facing issues:

as if being a feeling, so to speak... some harsh, some tough, some softer, some just "tiny" as a passing thought... some "smart and bucking-up" , and some some very blantant and obvious (such as a huge thistle)... (yep, guys have been known to have feeling, too) ...

*thanks skully...
