Okay Tacoids, make of this what you will. A bit sentimental on my part but seems relevant, even resonant, after the events of yesterday.

Today loomed as an important day for my sister in law, a day to change some allegencies and confirm others. She had some qualms about it depending on yesterdays events. But all seemed to go well enough.
Which leads us to today;

space was ata premium

in this historic, western city

though there were prominant greeters

in a venue of portent

the actual ceremony was hard to record from the nosebleed seats

please welcome, new Us Citizen Meng Lu (on the right) seen here with mother in law Bobbe and their minister, Mark.

Meng is the mother of Ciizen Hannah Anderson

and someone to come along around the beginning of May, '09.

Right on, Meng!

My French brother-in-domestic-partner-law sent a very nice note out the whole family today stating that while he's often been critical of things in the U.S. in the past, he would have been very proud to be an American yesterday.

That's cool, Jaybro. Is she a Dem or Repub, that's all I need to know....(just kidding).

Sweet! A Hungarian co-worker (IT manager) from work just got his citizenship last week. He was even flyin' an Amurikan flag from his desk.
