Be swell it really does go by fast.

Gnome, a couple suggestions for you to try (if you haven't already): on the forum page tap the number of responses for the thread you want to view to take you directly to the last page, or, once in a thread, click "Show All" (with First/Last/Next/Previous) to display the thread in one long page so you can scroll straight to the end (a looong, image heavy thread like this it will probably take a few moments to load, but I imagine it will still be quicker than going through page by page).

He’s engaged.

They met while both were studying in Germany a few years ago. She’s Russian...and he’s a California boy. Talk about long distance romance. It’s been going on over 5 years so it seems to be working. They plan a 2020 “destination” wedding half way between Russia and California. Guess I better get my Visas updated.

I’m so happy for them. She’s an incredible athlete and dancer with impeccable English. She loves Yosemite, the great outdoors, rips up the slopes and boy can she ice skate.

There's a 50:50 chance a set of my genes are out there in a particular case, but overall I'm thinking I've done the world a favor basically keeping them to myself. That said, I have raised a stepdaughter since the age of five and got her launched with plenty of passion, solid credentials, and zero student loan debt.

....her launched with plenty of passion, solid credentials, and zero student loan debt...

Then you did more for her than genes would ever contribute.

A short visit yesterday while on the road.

Big changes going on and I wish her well.

I truly feel sad for those who don't want a child simply because the "World Is How It Is."

What if more parents felt that way? I wouldn't want to live in THAT world, for sure!

Children should be our biggest source of hope.
