The compressor used by Maestri to place the controversial bolts on Cerro Torre. Stayed on the wall for years until not too long ago...?

Good job apogee!
I believe you are correct that in past years it was finally dropped off the rout. Can't remember if that happened by force and who did it or if it was just natural selection due to global warming.

Though it is not well known, Caesar really wanted the whole thing to go free. It is said he could see a route under the ice , it is also said that this de-icing inspired Skinner's torch on the grease in leavenworth :)
