This officially catches me up on my trip reports. Back to work...
OK. Picture it. Planet Granite Sunnyvale. Artificial crack haven before the recent fame of PGSF. 9pm.
I was working too late to make the Scuffy scene (very much to my chagrin). But, in one short and stellar evening I:
1) Linked a 5.10b immediately to my first 5.11 on-sight in Planet Granite. I was top-roping of course; lead climbing is too scary and too much work.
2) Got up the finger crack over to the right with no falls.
3) Conquered my nemesis, the hard lieback/offwidth on the left side of the main crack wall. First time clean, sans tape, and no real blood even after hanging on the hang/fist stack while feet dangled and repositioned.
4) Got a clean lap on the arm-bar crack in the back room
I'm revved up for the winter Yosemite cragging scene... bring it on homies!
