I suspect Brian Boyd did something bad to that rope.
Jugging over a sharp edge near the anchor perhaps?

I always go with Bluewater (although Sterling helped jello with the video).

Climberdude, based on your comments I'm going to try a Velocity 9.8, thanks!

Edit: I just checked and it says the Marathon is 6.3g/m and the Velocity is 6.2g/m. Does it really feel that much lighter?

Edit2: I guess it was caughtinside that said the Marathon Pro was very heavy.

Didn't know they were that close Rudder, though the velocity is on the heavy side for a 9.8 1 g/m difference isn't going to feel much different. I'd still go velocity though, which wore better than my marathon pro.

I've had my Lighting Pro for a few years now and it's been an awesome rope that has held up very well in the desert sands. Will be buying another in the 70m soon.

Got the Evolution Velocity BiColor Dry 60M... love it. I've been using the Gliders for years and the Sterling handles better, but it does seem like thew gliders do glide along over the rocks much smoother.
