Like the slow kind...

I've got a pile of $hit at the base of Mideast Crisis and I'm fixing tomorrow and blasting on Tuesday more than likely.

I figured if I put it up here for the world to see it would make it harder for me to bail for no reason.

Hopefully filing a succesful TR upon return to level ground. Wish me luck!

Do the sit start. It's worth it!

Remember, if your foot taps the ground your ascent is tainted!

If you're trying for the (slow) speed record, you're biting off more than you can chew. Pete has the market cornered there. He may still be in Yos though and would give you some tips. For beer, of course. :)

Well Holy $hit!

I'm back on solid ground and actually have been for a bit. I'll do a formal TR of my Yosemite trip shortly but the quick MC story is the 5.7 first pitch shared with Astorman is really scary to rope solo with an unmodified grigri and all those creaky, sand spitting flexing flakes, particularly if your lead limit is somewhere around 5.10. The second pitch is A1 or freaking scary. Trying to do it clean I managed to bend a hook and take a 30 footer. Good times. I nailed and bailed shortly after that. TR to follow later. Thanks.
