I've been with Chris on more than a few occasions when he's shown fear. That's definitely not what sets him apart. What sets him apart is a number of things. (1) He's really fuking strong, and has a natural tendency to be so. (2) When I sets his mind on something, he has an incredible focus and drive to work to accomplish the goal. (3) He's got a remarkably relaxed and fluid mindset--total acceptance of the cards he's dealt.
