Dear Joseph,
I dug in my archives and found three more nests of nuts… If you like you can add them to the supertopo forum.
Just for fun, here are three more “nests of nuts”:
The Cheating Stiks made by Pool-Tool Engineering (England) in 1969. The ones that are lucky to have the 3rd issue of the mythical climbing magazine 'Mountain' can see it mentioned inside. Since this time I have not seen this rare nut anywhere else…
Another very rare nut is the one made by Grivel (Italia) in the seventies.
The Poly coins were made by Simond (France) and marketed in the late seventies. Patented on February 21st, 1978 (Patent US 4074880).

The original photo of "odd gear," reminds me of the Colorado Nut. Both are excellent concepts however are liablity issues for the manufacturers. Placed correctly, this gear would work great! Placed incorrectly, it would snap in half.

The French have career military people? You could never convince a Parisian of that.
