Reading through my copy of Daily Variety I discovered that one of our own is moving into a new endeavor...

Pete Takeda's book, "An Eye at the Top of the World" is being made into a feature film. Takeda will supervise the climbing scenes. The non-fiction book is being fictionalized by the same screenwriter who penned the upcoming Nic Cage pic called, "Knowing."

Takeda's book is based on some cool stuff and seems ripe for a compelling film.

Nice work Pete!

Sweet! I'm a movie fanatic, sounds cool. Finally a climbing scene that doesn't involve Nitroglycerin or a reverse 180 dyno on a free solo.

Pete's a married man now.
Five weeks already.
He has responsibilities.

Its about time that Hollywood got it right.
I wonder if they will this time.

Anybody know what flavor of jello was served at the wedding?
I'm just saying,..

Was it the sweet cherry or the sour grape?

What's yer favorite flavor, Ron? Just askin...

I like all Hollywood climbing movies. Even the really, really bad one. In fact, I especially like those! Long live the dynamic C1 camalot maneuver!

Damn. Jeff just called but we were laughing too hard about something else for me to remember this thread.
It was fun though. I got him going so good he was coughing up loogies.

Mucous ejecta notwithstanding it was good to hear him laugh.
Says he's gonna go see Layton.
