Haven't seen the movie but I know the story.
Also (being an EL. teacher I'd know...) an author; Mordeci Gerstein wrote a fantastic award winning picture book too about the dude.

Really something us humans...what we are capable of-or not.

Thanks for sharing. I'll keep my eyes open for the movie.

I was up there in Spring of 2001 and thought how cool it would be to setup a tyrolean and bungee off it.

I saw it. Great movie. The guy has more character than I would have thought - it seemed kind like a stunt to me before I saw the movie. Kind of like deciding when you are twelve to free solo the nose. Then spend the next 20 years accomplishing it. And then he got the girl. damn

saw it here in SD a couple weeks ago.
Really well done; the filmmakers make it out to be like a bank heist - very suspenseful, with the main players narrarating their roles.
All the training, research, waiting for the completion of the construction of the Towers... You almost breath a sigh of relief when he finally gets on the wire, then comes the 'oh sh#t - he's actually doing it!'
