just back from a few days in the valley and the incessant construction and traffic delays never end. bring a bike, walk, do what ever you can to avoid sitting in a car trying to get somewhere. unless something changes dramatically in the next week, allow for lots of extra time to get around.

in addition to the construction they've been doing burns. so a mask and an oxygen tank would not be out of the question.

in addition, last night after leaving a party at sar I'm cruising to a bivy in my vehicle at 20-25 miles/hour and I still got pulled over. ostensibly for not coming to a complete stop, which I politely but assertively told him was not true. no ticket, but there are a lot of flashing blue and red lights out there. would urge all to very closely obey traffic regulations. it takes almost nothing for them to pull you over.

otherwise, should be a great time.
