I only stayed for the first day, Ron.
If she was there, it was on the second day

"Heya Dwain,
i'll climb with you"
Sounds good Swelly.
But my question is; Would you call me back the next evening
to let me know when, if you said you were going to call, or would you just shine me on, and wait for me to get a hold of you to see what's happening?

Let me make one thing perfectly clear:
Bailing is BAD.
Bail three times, you're out.
I've been really really lucky, to climb mostly with established climbers near my age, and they NEVER bail unless a child is sick, or the wife is having a baby, or work demands immediate attention to avert disaster, or something like that.
Punks, flakes and wannabe's bail.
And just so you know, when you say, we will climb on such and such a time and date, at such and such and such a place, that's a commitment. Its not a test proposition you float to see what might happen, and THEN you decide to go though with it or not.
Also, EXCEEDINGLY lame is to set up a climbing day with several people (the same day) and then pick the one you think will be the most favorable.
This sort of behavior makes you a pariah sooner or later.

Swelly is a flake.... watch yourself Dwain.... you are being set up for numerous disappointments. He says he will show up, and ends up wasting the day in a tanning booth or getting his butt hairs waxed. The dude ain't solid. I'm still waiting on a "call-back" from 1979.

Yeah, but after learning my lesson from someone else,
after the second time of flaking off, I would just Shine it
and climb with the people that don't do that.
One thing about Locker;
When he says he is going to call me, or sets a date to go climbing, he follow through with what he says.
He may be an IDIOT, but he IS trustworthy. :)
and he is quick to apologize if something happens that he can't follow through.

LL "Went to Tuolumne Meadows in August and was the first one of our party to do Touch of Grey 5.9 on Western Front near Daff Dome. Did it easily with no beta. The kids were cheering me on and it was FUN. Also did March of Dimes 5.10a. came off slightly, but went right back on the rock...did not hang dog and finished it well.
Got about 3/4 of the way up 5.10b New Tricks for Old Dogs but just not mentally up for the end. Think I could do it now."
Do I detect a theme?
Of course, LL may be Lois Lane.
