A boss says: "We need to talk, to have a discussion."

You are going to sit there, shut up, and don't you dare disagree with anything I say.

It amuses me to see my previous responses. They omit so many words and phrases I hate. Mostly, I hate jargon used in place of ordinary English words, or word that sound impressive and mean nothing.

"Accountable" tops my current rogue's gallery. If my job makes me accountable, it means others can blame me. If, in contrast, my job makes me "responsible," it means I need to make it happen. I want someone "responsible," not "accountable," for actions.

Adventure is definitely overused.

It's not an adventure until something goes wrong.
~Yvon Chouinard

Shackleton had an adventure; I've had outings and trips, even if some of them involved some modicum of fear, pain, and suffering. I'm grateful they've all been short of real adventures.

I would proly really hate it when people use the word "Zen" or "Zen-like" to mean a style of decorating, or a person's demeanor or behavior...

but it's all good and I'm kinda too Zen to really hate anything. Nawha I mean? You dig?

Later, dudes...
