Ok, I have always wondered if this was Lucy or Virginia? It's from- The Yosemite 1961 vol 40. ps. Cool back cover Tarman.

And I'm going to guess that is Lucy...
What a cool picture of the Parkers; an absolutely and so totally darling scene.

Ah Nita You are too kind. You tried to let me win. Maui is the 2nd largest. I have biked around the entire Island more than once. Biked up the 10,000 ft of Haleakala again much more than once.
John, My Big Isle bud beat me to the punch.

My favorite Island is Lanai. I go there a few times a year. The climbing is a little tough and if I remember correctly, Largo wrote an article on climbing and Lanai a few moons ago. I think it was in “Rock, Ice, and Plastic” I dunno.

Here's the first:

And here's the second:

I'd have a third, but Tarbuster skunked me by milliseconds. (Tuttle Creek)

They came in nice plastic sleeves and everything - real classic stuff. I suppose Ken will want them for his mooooseum. :-)

Thanks to Simon, a scholar and a gentleman, for entertaining and educating us!

OMG!

I used to write letters to people like that. . . with questions that had multiple answers to check. . . I LOVED doing those. . . the recipients thought they were HILARIOUS. . . and I'd usually get WAY better letters back than if I were to have sent just a normal letter. . . I ALWAYS left room for elaboration!

TOO COOL!

Thanks for postin' that one up, for sure!
