The Who, "Welcome"

Ask along that man who's wearing a carnation,
Bring every single person from Victoria Station,
Go into the hospital and bring nurses and patients,
Everyone go home, and fetch their relations....

Come to this house, be one of the comfortable people,
Lovely bright home, we're drinking all night never sleeping....

Be Good or Be Gone, by Fionn Regan. I started playing guitar again after a long break, and have been listening to a lot of finger-picking folk and old country blues, trying to get the fingers moving again.

Michael Franti is the real deal. I met him about ten years ago at an ACLU conference. He was keynoting: speaking and playing. At most conferences or events, the big names come in, do their bit, and leave (not complaining, they aren't getting paid and they're busy). Michael sat through all the workshops. I was surprised to find him in a workshop I was giving, asking questions, participating, learning. He is such a genuine soul, everybody just accepted him as one more person in the workshop.

"If I Ever Leave This World Alive"
-Flogging Molly-

If I ever leave this world alive
I'll thank for all the things you did in my life
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll come back down and sit beside your
feet tonight
Wherever I am you'll always be
More than just a memory
If I ever leave this world alive

If I ever leave this world alive
I'll take on all the sadness
That I left behind
If I ever leave this world alive
The madness that you feel will soon subside
So in a word don't shed a tear
I'll be here when it all gets weird
If I ever leave this world alive

So when in doubt just call my name
Just before you go insane
If I ever leave this world
Hey I may never leave this world
But if I ever leave this world alive

She says I'm okay; I'm alright,
Though you have gone from my life
You said that it would,
Now everything should be all right

She says I'm okay; I'm alright,
Though you have gone from my life
You said that it would,
Now everything should be all right
Yeah should be alright
