Now that's something, I was just listening to Charles Lloyd at Monterey not more than 1/2 hour ago.

Maybe some of y'all folks remember The Chantels, I sure do. Used to back up Rick Nelson.

Doesn't Robert Palmer owe them?

Jaybro, what I found so far

Jay Dee Daugherty, Patti's original drummer, kicks in with a pounding rhythm. Lenny Kaye, her musical alter ego since 1971, when together they took the Lower East Side by storm, smiles as he rattles his Strat; he is the co-author of this song. The new bass player, Tony Shanahan, is a five-year member of the Lenny Kaye Band. At 36, he brings new power to the trio.

And there's another player joining in, that man in the corner: Tom Verlaine, whose lead-guitar genius was first recognized in the '70s when his own band,

Anyway, at least somebody saw him live

There's a lot that can be said about Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and "Dark Eyes". I'm not listening to it right now, but much of it can be read here.

So Rosie Hamlin was attending Mission Bay High School (were The Originals home schooled?), the song was recorded in San Marcos and released in 1960. Yet if you ask around many folks will tell you she was from National City (just like Raquel Welch).

Anyway Victoria Matthews does a real bang up job. Stage presence? com'n, she only twelve and props to the sax player.

Just don't tell me the Wolfman recorded his shows in La Jolla.
