yosemite 5.9, coming back to me kind of goes with this one:

Jefferson Airplane ≈ My Best Friend (Skip Spence) who was the drummer; but left the line up a couple of years before the album was released. I think he wound up on doing the thorazine shuffle due to mental illness.

Tobia:

You probably just need some corn flakes.

Perry digs 'em (and yes I was just listening to this right now!)

Festival Hall, Melbourne, Australia - 19 April 1966:

"This is about a painter - down in Mexico City, who travelled from
North Mexico up to Del Rio Texas all the time, his name's Tom Thumb,
and uh, right now he's about 125 years old but he's still going, and
uh, everybody likes him a lot down there, he's got lots of friends,
and uh, this is when he was going through his BLUE period, of
painting, and uh, he's made COUNTLESS amount of paintings, you
couldn't think of 'em all. This is his blue period painting I just
dedicate this song to him, it's called Just Like Tom Thumb's BLUES.
[very odd screaming] You, you know Tom Thumb?"

I love this band so much... check 'em out.
And if you ever great chance to see the incredible Shawn Smith perform live, take it. I saw him in Seattle and his vocals kicked my ass, esp when he's rocking OUT.

Nice list, Zbrown

:)

Reggie Watts of the Seattle band Maktub is f*#king awesome... have seen Maktub live several times.
Reggie took a break from Maktub to pursue a stand-up comedy career. I approve, because as you can see, he's still makin' music.

My wife and I went to see Leo Kottke at the Nugget in Reno this weekend. I had never heard of him before, although my wife said he was previously well known in the southwest. Anyway i was downright impressed, he could make his guitars do just about anything and he had very funny stories about himself and others on his journey through life. Any fans of his here?

all right Nita

I want to remember but I try to forget
That scene in the car park that I still regret
Just like before times I've even lost track
I ran away crawling 'cause I fall everytime I look back
