Damn! Dr. Hartouni - where did those come from? (well, I know where Mendocino is). Good ones.

There is rumoured to be an uncirulating session of Jimi backing up Kate Smith on America the Beautiful.

Anyway, get your rocks off

I'd like to say they emerged from some deep dark memory... but they didn't...

++ Susan - So did you frequent The Catalyst? I never made it. I'm thinkin' my only visit to Santa Cruz was in around 1967.

Ry did not want this video shown (oh why, Ry, high?) - so in tracking down a copy of the bootleg of the show, I became locked into the downloading scene, some 10 terabytes later ... they're still coming.

I will observe that although you can call up Jesus and tell him what you want, it seems that his number is unlisted, else he would have appeared back yonder upstream.

drinking coffee to Ry Cooder is as pleasant a way to start the day as I can think of.

zb, you don't need a "stinkin" number.

Ry Cooder ≈ Sunny's Tune

Ry Cooder & The Moula Banda Rhythm Aces ≈ Let's Have A Ball

first recording of Dark End and a great soul tune at that. Unfortunately Carr spent most of his life at the dark end of the street, he could have been a real heavy.

James Carr ≈ Dark End Of The Street

In the Dr. Hartouni tradition, with a nod to the Flames (I'm not sure, but that may be the countdown to the 2 millionth ST post there in the corner).
