beat me with a rubber hose. i got up cause i thought the clock said 4:30. i struggled to the coffee pot, thinking to myself that i felt awful tired. i poured that first cup; trying not to spill too much, wondering who drugged me.
i make my way to the computer, fall into the chair, trying to peel my eye's open. when the computer finally comes up the digital clock speaks to me: 12:30 a.m.! i'm on my second cup of coffee now. talkin' about an early start; but missing the excitement there of....

yosemite 5.9, coming back to me kind of goes with this one:
Jefferson Airplane ≈ My Best Friend (Skip Spence) who was the drummer; but left the line up a couple of years before the album was released. I think he wound up on doing the thorazine shuffle due to mental illness.

I love this band so much... check 'em out.
And if you ever great chance to see the incredible Shawn Smith perform live, take it. I saw him in Seattle and his vocals kicked my ass, esp when he's rocking OUT.

My wife and I went to see Leo Kottke at the Nugget in Reno this weekend. I had never heard of him before, although my wife said he was previously well known in the southwest. Anyway i was downright impressed, he could make his guitars do just about anything and he had very funny stories about himself and others on his journey through life. Any fans of his here?
