John - this is a great idea to make a PDF, however the original thread was 115 MB,
and this has been compressed to 16 MB. Is there any way to optimize the photos
while retaining the pixel dimensions? As I commented in this thread on the subject:

http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.html?topic_id=466896

-clearly, many if knott most of the photos weren't optimized very well for the web.
I understand that traffic allocations would be a serious issue if a more true-to-size
version was created.

What would be great is if the search function on the forum only resolved the relevant
page and knott the whole thread. That way we could keep adding to the original thread
without worry. Having multiple threads (like the one I mentioned in the link above) makes
things confusing and harder to find people. In the meantime your PDF is very nice! Cheers.

I suppose I better get in on this before I get buried in the middle again:

Skiing a few weeks ago with friends:

Rowen's first birthday, last night:

What, no cake?

Also, just for fun, here's our house in Colorado last week. The trailer in front is a full 7 foot high trailer, completely buried! There's also two cars (that you can't see) parked to the left of the trailer, before I dug them out.

Here's a recent photo, with me out in the garden with the Long-Eyes. The larger telescope tube (facing the camera) is the one used to discover solar system object 2004PX42 (in 2004), which was subsequently named "Johnmuir" by the International Astronomical Union in 2006.

This is the discovery photo of minor planet Johnmuir -- it's the faint smudge at the red cross-hair. It was last observed by the Kitt Peak Observatory (Arizona) in February 2007 and can next be observed from the Northern Hemisphere in late 2008/early 2009.

Aside from being a lurker here, and a virtual nobody, I'm an aspiring, 68 year old powerlifter who competes in Masters Division 3b (polite euphemism for "Geezers Division") against other men 65 - 69 years of age in the 165 lb weight class.

The new singlet arrived last week, in ample time for my next meet in mid September.

This new pastime has forced my temporary withdrawal from the sport of rock climbing, but, upon recovering from my first catastrophic spinal injury, I vow to return to top-roping, and with a vengeance.
