Hey! Idaho has more than one elephant...

This volcanic plug 25 miles northeast of Idaho Falls has one pitch sport routes up to 5.13. Its by an RV campground which is can be crowded on holiday weekends. Must check in with land owner

This definitely isn't a journey's end. But if one happens to be in the area for fishing the Snake River, swimming at Heise Hot Springs...

It's not as big as some of those others, but Pinnacles NP has an Elephant Rock as well.

The Regular Route up the back is only 5.6, but it's one of my favorites in the park: it offers a lot of variety in a single pitch with an amazing view from the top and is a great route for a new climber to follow.

Since photobucket is no longer displaying old photos for free, I've uploaded this to the supertopo photo storage.

There's an obscure big wall route on the Elephant.
