Teddy’s first deep snow. She went apeshit and had so much fun. Now she’s crashed for awhile. Tomorrow she gets spayed. I wonder how I’ll keep her slowed down.

This is tough - it has now been 26+hours

http://www.courant.com/breaking-news/hc-br-danbury-missing-k9-20171221-story.html

I called to offer my un fixed female shepherd & my near photo graphic memory &knowledge of one side of the road where, yup, My rock,The Ravens Crest is.
This area is not served by any trained SAR. yeah I know it says the local Bubbas and volenteers but
I know those woods better than anyone.

Please send strong vibes and help us find Texas. There is a Storm due to hit tomorrow,
I will be going out on the search in the morning, led by my pup and with my wife in support. The morning can not come soon enough. . .

Thanks fingers crossed that the hound breaks its training and sets up howling

while not The location, some of these pix are from the area, showing the nature of the terrain...

The Pup was Found, praise be.

He was, in short, the direction one would expect,
up into the ledges. then down the other-side, stopped by a backyard fence.

This is up into the rocky terrain there the are still some critters that you, never mind a dog, would smell coming up from crevices.

The undulating talus is above and below short, 3 to 30 foot climbable out-croppings. [photoid=mm]
Basketball size loose rocks, what is -two man- cobble size at the largestand soft ball sized ancient sliding granite forms much of the hillside. This is steep ground, sloping in the direction of ledges and drop offs,so rugged constant 3rd class.
some frosty forth at the crests of the hills.

Oh Dix Dix Dix!
I wish you were a couple thousand miles closer.

Oh you are going to have a GREAT life.

Wilbeer, I am so happy for you. A beautiful pupper.

Mine got spayed yesterday so we actually had a profoundly quiet evening and night.

Keep us posted on Dix’s growth. A BEAUTY.

Teddy sends hugs!

Boy or girl?

Just precious and beautiful, handsome whatever.

I love the eye color of the silver labs. They seem to have a dusty blue to them.

Hope you’re getting sleep. Harder to housebreak in winter and more big snows predicted your way.

hey there say, wilbeer... oh my, this is wonderful... this new baby...

and, BJ, wheww... so glad the ol' pup-dog made it through...
from what i have heard, THAT is hard enough for humans, let alone,
a small pup-dog, and one of his age...

feelings of thankfulness, abound here...

ps, wilbeer, some folks have success, with using a kennel, until they
learn, for the 'night time' or, when they are not home...

but, first, make sure the little pup, is not scared of kennel...
later, of course, you will not need it...

(but, puppies do not like to mess in their bed-- thus they will 'wait' ... and then, it is your job to know when to put them 'in and out' ) ...

hug and reward with much love, :)

hope this helps... ???
(worked very well for my patty ann marie, as, she was a kennel dog, when i adopted her from animal rescue, so, she thought 'going on the floor' was natural...

thus, i put her in a large kennel, under my table with her toys and my shirts, when i went to work and, came to check on her-- put her out, and let her try to mess outside... etc... put her back, until i was home...

before that, i kept her in the fenced in kitchen... and, oops, always a mess...

yet, never in the blankets in the kennel...
hope that might work for you, :)
