^^^^^. Well the ears were kinda a give away but then ya never know.
It actually looks somewhat pristine...like it was just unraveled.
My dog was a gopher and mole cruncher. The sound of those breaking bones I can hear to this day. Sorta like chips.

Cleo and I just rescued a dog. We've wanted one since we returned from NZ and she found Koda on the Big Dawgs Rescue page on Facebook.

He's a big boy and is super sweet. After eating his breakfast, his favorite thing is to crawl into bed for some cuddles. However, at 60 lbs and growing, he's too big to encourage.

We've taken him to the climbing gym, but it's still all a bit much for him.

Luckily, we live near the American River so he gets to play at what we call the dog beach

Can't wait to take him on a mountain adventure. Need to work on him coming back when I call him.

so speaking of coming back...
my pup who's now one, comes back pretty well. But there are times when he is off-for a few minutes, and then seems to always come back to the spot where he left me. i praise him for returning, but I'm still freaked out by his not coming when called at that point. He's a gun dog, who can't hunt, so its the birds, the birds!
Any thoughts dog people?

This one will be hard. 8 years ago my best friend and neighbor Bob died of Prostate cancer. He was gone in a year from diagnosis. He always wanted a dog, so for his last months we got him a chow/shepherd mix at the humane society and they bonded instantly. She never left his side even when he died at home surrounded by friends and loved ones.
She growled at the undertaker who came to take him out of the house.

She and I have walked every day together since, and she became a comfort to us and to Bob's wife and Daughters since. A great dog.

But now Lady is 15 and she is at the end of her own fight with cancer. Until now she hasn't had pain, but now it's time. I'm heading over to wait for the vet and hold her while he puts her down at home. We all owe it to her.
