It is with a heavy heart that my wife and I laid our wonderful Jasper to rest in a sacred spot among the aspens in our new Colorado home. His Spirit will ever watch over those of us who loved him.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone. They all help, and I appreciate your thoughts.
One of Jasper and my last adventures was a 5 mile walk trying to summit one of the peaks that we see across the valley from our home. He was a very spry 11 year old, and enjoyed walks with his people above all else. Running ahead, then back, then ahead again, he easily doubled the distance that we humans walked.
Neebee, thank you for asking about Penny. She seems to be just fine and is enjoying all kinds of extra attention. Your beautiful painting from the Secret Santa a few years back is especially touching.

hey there say, edge... good to know about penny... a friend, nearby here, her two dogs were such buddies, and when the one died, the other one was so lost for a few months... :(
i think, having lots of other family members around, help them still have contact to security, of affection, :)
i had such fun, doing that painting, i felt like i was 'peeking in' on the fun, and following along...
thank you so much, for sharing how special it is... it means a lot, to see these secret santa gifts, blossom through the years... :)
