I lost my dog Nik to a car in 1990.
A week later I got an 8 week old puppy that lived 18yrs 7 months .
A week later after that I got another 8 week old pup.
In May he will be 5 yrs old.

So I have been there and I can empathize with the loss of the two , Yula and Monty.

Btw I had a Rat terrier named "Skipper" when I was a kid. I would tie his leash to my handlebars and he would pull me and my large bike up hills all day. Amazingly strong for his size.

F*#k Luke, my condolences to you & Ais.

I'm so sorry dude. She was a super lucky soul to have people like you two available to give her so much love & share the world she was utterly amazed by.

Yulas spirit lives on in the trails around the bluffs & in the breeze that blows thru the forest under the chief.

RIP Yula, Monty & all the other best friends out there who helped us learn a little bit more about what love really is even if they are no longer with us they will always be remembered.

I met the neatest lil mix this morning,, a Pomeranian/Mini-pin mix- incredible beautiful lil girl with a sweet personality.. I guess there is another batch of them coming that will go to homes for free.!

edit: Watch out for "pet flippers"

The American Kennel Club says pet theft shot up 31% for 2013 compared to the year before and that stolen pets are reported every single day.

Pet flipping has been seen around the nation, and in several of those instances, the owner discovered their stolen pet on Craigslist, but instead of being advertised as a "found" pet, they would see it advertised for sale.

If you ever find yourself in this situation, report the theft to the police.
There isn't too much information on how strategic pet flippers are, but in some cases, it looks like scammers target dogs very carefully.
Many times, the dogs that disappear are valuable, purebred, and not spayed or neutered.

If, for whatever reason, you do have to give up your pet, Nevada Humane Society staff says it's better NOT to advertise it as "free to a good home" and to ask for a re-homing fee. This can help discourage criminals who are looking to find animals they can quickly resell for fast money.
