She's adorable Banquo.

And Knave
I'm going to try dogless for a spell. til the old heart heals a bit and I have amnesia to what the cost of loving was.

I understand. I waited and after a year and a half I realized that time passes differently without a dog. I realized, well I already knew, that I need a dog in my life, someone to care for and to get that unconditional love from. A dogless life was different and I didn't like it.
I thought I waited too long, but then again, had I not, Rosie wouldn't have found her way to me.
She reminded me what the cost of loving was.
It's free, and it's freeing.
I encourage you to heal but not wait too long on purpose.

As we enjoy the pitter patter of little brown feet around here, today we remember Cush, on what would have been his 11th birthday....

Cush...legendary friend....

Dr. F, you sure that Butters is not part bat? haha I look at that dog and I just had to chuckle. It certainly looks like equal parts of it's parents.

My oldest dog is a seventy five pound mongrel. The fella is going gray these days. I need to cherish the years I have left with him. Smartest dog ever.

Totally yankin' your studded collar, Brandon. But there is a market for "designer dogs" or specifically matched cross breeds. Very strange, I think.

Ain't that the way. I've had dogs that were smart, could catch a frisbee, climb a rock, swim a lake, or wait patiently all day at the base of the crag.

And other dogs who couldn't do any of those things. Loved them just the same, because there they are.

My purebred lab, Tioga, is five years old and I still can't teach him to shake paws.

His incompetence is maddening when compared to my ten year old mutt/mongrel Lincoln, but I love him equally. His enthusiasm is infectious.

My dog Oliver is a designer dog.
Designed by a Golden Retriever and a more-or-less Collie.
A very successful design it is. A one off (well, 7 off)
