The Bike Races were in town weekend before last.

Check out the third cyclist. He's getting ready to huck his water bottle, which ended up hitting ME right upside my head!

I caught about half its flight on camera.

Poo knew what to do. She picked it up, and carried it around for the rest of the day.

Tony is my latest foster. A wonderful young boy. Knows many commands...but clearly has never had toys....it never ceases to amaze me why folks just let their animals go lost. He was a stray from Bakersfield, rescued by Golden Gate Lab Rescue...I'm sure he'll be adopted this weekend. He would make a wonderful "go to work dog". He is so calm and mellow for a lab of his estimated age.

edit update. Tony was adopted today to a wonderful family with two teenage girls. He will get LOTS of attention. He will also be a "shop dog" as he will go to work with the father. I miss him...he is a really neat dog. But things are now "back to normal" with my own animals! They endure the fosters quite well....mostly...

sorry to bring everybody down, but this has me fuming:

the bastards will probably only get a couple months in jail for this; i think we should lock them in a trunk--two go in and only one comes out, and he goes straight to jail labeled as a child molester

I am not going to read that. Lots of sad stuff to get angry about. I rather focus on the good since to me... It's what's worth focusing on. I only deal with bad when I have a direct effect upon it. Then I sure as heck will do everything in my power to improve the situation.

I'm not really a dog birthday kind of guy, but it just occurred to me that nine years ago today I adopted Lincoln. He was a little football, eight weeks old, rescued from a kill shelter.

He has been by my side ever since. Climbing, backpacking, both coasts, desert, backcountry skiing, if it's something I do, he's done it too.

Happy day Link!
