Well the usual suspects managed to make an appearance and we begrugdingly made our way down 395 and over to 50( with the help of 2 cases of beer ( new Castles and Coors Light, The devils brew) eventually showing up at the pie shop under Laddie's Stealthful driving. As we Poored out of the car like Tar on a cold November Day ( it was actually quite warm in the 60's) we wandered up the hill ( after watering most of the native plant varities). We found ( did we bring a Flag) Picnic rock. So after some more pondering( and alchohol consumptiom,Not by Laddie He was Driving, I think). Someone had to climb up Crepes (and Beyond) and who is hollowering at us but St's own (and beloved) SS, ( TR whatever) Howdy so we trail a rope and "howdy"etc, so glad to finally meet you. etc....Whatever. Everyone has a fun time on Crepes and we all survive,Brilliant. Then we Wonder over to Hands Masseuse after a few more adult libations ( not the kids, Laddie or SS) and I manage to stumble up that fun little event without falling off and we all take laps. Sweet..... All in all ( who know's what the silly mattress people were doing on the descent V35), I think ( or as best as I can recall) we all had an enjoyable outing on some fine stone, Thanks for making it such everyone.

I had a blast getting drunk and stumbling up a few climbs.
It was good to finally meet the infamous Standing Strong/TR!
I think she had fun too, looked good climbing, but was probably overpowered by the testosterone.
I'm having a hard time typing right now so I'll probably post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks for the invite Mark!!

Oh, and if any of you have any "human sexuality" questions,
SS can probably answer them for you.

"the infamous Standing Strong/TR"

Famous? Lovely? Delightful? Amusing? Entertaining?

A lot of adjectives may be applicable, but somehow I doubt they include infamous.

Why is the area called the Pie Shop? There must be a story there.

I think my face is in excrusiating pain at that point( In the Infamous Mac urinal chimney) because I was hoping to finish the route and piss from the summit into the abyss, scoring a perfect 9.997, but alas I realized I was a mere Mortal and had to stand there like the herd to achieve the neccessary results.

Oh yeah Mighty Hiker It was called the Pie Shop because ( according to local Lore) THERE USED TO BE A BAKERY NEAR IT'S BASE , but I've been climbing there since '78' and I don't recall any such establishment. Maybe TM Herbert or the Bird could give us the lowdown, (but I don't recall any such establishment or any activities I was involed in last night).

Nice work guys. Wish I could have been there.

Though I normally boulder when at the Pie Shop, I have led True Grip. And I was, uh, truly gripped!

I've heard the same thing about the name's origins; that where that little apartment complex is down at the base, there was a pie shop of some sort back in the day. Think I got that from one of the guidebooks.

Howdy Aaron that second pitch of true grip is a little unpleasant ( we often avoid it and go around leftish. but the 3rd pitch ( Mince meat) is awesome.
