No, but to be honest zippy the pin head interrupted many of those shots so they didn't really come out...:>)
I'll try to find 1 or 2 that did.

No, both pics are from the Kearsarge area.

This is a cool thread.
Headed to the East Side today.
Can't wait.
Be in Bishop thru the weekend, if anyone's around.
Those pics of the Leap - and is one of those last ones Fallen Leaf? - sure do make me homesick down here in crappy SoCal.

TMJ--That first photo is of a painting, isn't it? Do you know the name or artist?

The rest of those photos brought tears to my eyes, they're so beautiful...and I miss the mountains so much.

Thanks for this thread.

It's Alfred Bierstadt. I have a painting of his staring me in the face on the far wall in my office. Whenever I need a mental break, I look at it and it takes me away.

Now if I can only get there for real...

A cold morning this fall, Tenaya to Cathedral:

Tenaya before sunrise:

Foot of the Tenaya Buttress:

Start of the 5th class:

Typical features of this great climb, lots of flakes and cracks in clean, pretty granite:

Frosted pines looking East, and the first rays of morning:

Some snow on the ledges up top:

Once at the summit, it's a beautiful hike along the ridge to get to Cathedral:

Water sources on said ridge if you left the water in the car, thinking you just wanted to do Tenaya and head down, but later decide the day is bluebird and you'd like to walk over to Cathedral:

Looking back at the sweep of Tenaya:

Fairview and Conness:

And the trifecta:
