To remind us of what it's all for:

At Yosemite Climbing Association world headquarters in El Portal. Trying to figure out how to put together the awning. Later we RTFM. (A later scene, not photographed, had Ed H, jstan and I sorting recycling from garbage - with two Ph.D.s in physics and a law degree amongst us, we figured it out.)

Sorting thingies that were needed.

Khanom (Eric) and Ken in Ken's cottage office.

Ken on the phone to ABC news or something.

Katie (Ken's assistant) peering out the museum door at the chaos - construction, FaceLift, you name it.

jstan, aka Stannard of Arabia. One of the few occasions he didn't have a litter stick in hand, displaying dismaying diligence in the pursuit of garbage.

George apparently about to murder jstan for working too hard or something.

FaceLift headquarters the night before. A forlorn shell.

nature (Doug) hard at work, while Meghan and Cherie catch up on wedding stories or something.

Still at it, several hours later.

The Yager family, somewhat concealed by Meghan's back.

Three modest climbing legends, together for the first time - John Stannard, Tom Frost, Royal Robbins. All climbers owe a great deal to them for their vision and leadership.

One of Crimpie's friends - I talked to the ravens every day. This one probably could have taken care of Crimpie's furry friend.

Ed the AV guy, who was pretty focussed.

Fattrad, Crimpie, and another.

More of why we were there. (Not to see me dancing - people pay not to see that.)

The Fishy family, who came all the way from Switzerland to help for all five days, as part of a holiday. Fishy, Finn (aka Finngerling), and Sabrina.

Katie again, happy that it's over.

Doug and Lara, returned from a crack of noon attempt at Royal Arches.

Ranger Jesse, Ken, and Lara.

Pancake master Tim and his children. (Did A. Crowley ever flip pancakes, as promised?)

Thanks again to everyone for all the help, and to Ken for the inspiration. See you next year!

Hey Anders, thanks for posting up your shots and all the hard work this past week.

Like Mimi said, that photo listed and "another" is the lovely Jo Whitford. The focused AV guy is Ed Whittle aka "the noodler". (Ed ya like that one?)

Looks like a fun time.

Cool. More fun photos. The ravens were terrific - thanks for that photo. The birds out there are excellent. I had a white-headed woodpecker in the tree feet from my tent (where it originally was anyway).

It was fun seeing Ed and Jo again too. Hopefully next year we can spend more time together...

I sure would like to see the next FaceLift take place at my garage if possible. There's a ton of crap in there accumulating...plus it would be real convenient for all those living up here in...uh...where I am.

Any chance?

Oh yeah...and I don't mind anyone gluing or bolting holds onto the side of my house if that's whats holdin' this back.

Note: Gluing of holds to the cat will not be tolerated.

Hey there guys!

I'm a friend of Ed Whittle in your pictures! I'm from Romania and we used to climb together in Yosemite in 2002-2003. I've been trying to find him for quite a while now so I just typed in his name in google and came to this page. Do you have any ideea how could I find him? An email would be perfect, or any other address or phone number you can find. Thanks a million.

ps: Great pictures! I miss that atmosphere!!!
