Hi Moosie! I'm still here in hell, er, I mean, St. Louis. My flight is not until Thursday. I will get to Fresno at about 11:20, then hop in the rental and blast toward the park. You gonna be running around there then?

I'll be at the Yellow Pines campground. I am so serious when I say that I cannot wait. I can't sleep. Time is crawling by. I haven't felt like this since I was a kid and was waiting anxiously for Christmas morning. :)

edit: And just so everyone is clear, that was NOT me peeing in the Merced with Moosie! (I peed in the hottub). Hahahaha. JUST KIDDING!

You should have seen some of the looks I got today carting a toilet around in the woods. Also took some pictures with El Cap in the background. I felt pretty exposed for that shot. An RV drove by and the passenger had her head out the window staring at me. It was pretty comical.

Brutus: I'm covered on avocados, shiso, quail egg. The diakon sprouts are a great thing to add. I really don't know that there is anything on my list we need. Maybe a little crab and I don't have smoked salmon (though (do have some EXCELLENT smoked tuna).

Thanks for asking! See you tuesday!

So Nature

Where are you gonna store all that fish when you get here?

You need a place to keep it?

Like freezer or refrigerator?

What do you think about having a Tidy Bowl challenge? I would have a toilet available during the event and the challenge would be to take it out and get a photo. Winner would win a nice prize and the winner would be decided on Sunday.

"the challenge would be to take it out and get a photo"

You might get tooled for indecent exposure if you aren't discreet about where you take it out.

There would be restrictions of course.I don't want anyone getting into trouble and don't want to offend the public.

Werner - Yeah, I do need a place to keep my big cooler. I talked with Jesse (climbing ranger) and he offered use of your walk in cooler. I arrive Tuesday so after sushi on that night I'll need a place for my cooler (which won't fit in a bear box).
