Hi Moosie! I'm still here in hell, er, I mean, St. Louis. My flight is not until Thursday. I will get to Fresno at about 11:20, then hop in the rental and blast toward the park. You gonna be running around there then?

I'll be at the Yellow Pines campground. I am so serious when I say that I cannot wait. I can't sleep. Time is crawling by. I haven't felt like this since I was a kid and was waiting anxiously for Christmas morning. :)

edit: And just so everyone is clear, that was NOT me peeing in the Merced with Moosie! (I peed in the hottub). Hahahaha. JUST KIDDING!

You should have seen some of the looks I got today carting a toilet around in the woods. Also took some pictures with El Cap in the background. I felt pretty exposed for that shot. An RV drove by and the passenger had her head out the window staring at me. It was pretty comical.

2007 was "Bongo Bonanza" where we pissed off the Yosemite Fund.

2008 was the year of "Guitar Wars" where we seriously annoyed BOTH the CCC and our delightful banker volunteers from Wells Fargo!

Once when I was about three feet tall my dad informed me we needed an eighty yard long ditch dug four feet deep to get below frost line, I know how tall I was because I could not see out over the top of that ditch for a good long time. I learned something.

I learned when you have a big job the first thing you need to do is get your priorities in order. Long and tough jobs just mean you get huge satisfaction when you complete it.

We are undertaking a really huge and important job in Yosemite. We can finish it and be really pleased with what we have accomplished.

Or we can be confused and settle for something small.

Of course I'm in for the kazoo parade. But only if I can camp @ Yellow Pines. Thanks Ricky D for giving me some headliner on the bongo fiasco, but in reality that stuff was pretty tame compared to 'ranger tongue lashing!'. Apparently with all we did to make a ruckus some no name outsiders upstaged us and really pi$$ed off NPS. Go figure. I'd like to make this years facelift again. Pick up trash with my comrades.
