Thanks, Nita. Assuming the pancake breakfast happens, all you should need to bring is yourself, friend(s), dishes and cutlery, (say) $10, and a willingness to help a bit. Price TBA, but should include everything. Although anyone who wants ketchup on her/his sausages may be in DIY country. We have to draw the line somewhere.

We're thinking pancakes (+ syrup, butter), bacon, coffee, juice, maybe sausages. Other ideas?

Is $10 reasonable? We'd signup people and collect during the first few days of the FaceLift, so we could plan and get supplies. If there's any money left over, we'll just give it to the Yosemite Climbing Association.

Mr Hiker, Could you have some- Turkey sausage for those who don't eat pig units? That is if you have meat.

Hmmm, why not? What of "vegetarian" alternatives, for those who choose them?

Perhaps when we sign people up, we can get their names and (within reason) menu preferences, then do our best to meet them.

Edit: Marmot rolls, and acorn bread from El Cap Meadows, seem a bit of a stretch.

"What part of the pig is the unit?"

In the sausage factory, they use every part but the squeak.

"Count me in for the flat stuff."

On this forum, that may be construed in several ways.

Mr. Hiker, Love to help out with any kitchen chores,clean-up/pancake flipping, and spankings. Experience: Tuolumne grill.

Mr. Ouch, Pig units, not to be discussed in polite company, although turkey units are smaller.

Edit: Mr. A.C. I have tons of restaurant experience-besides T.M.grill..

Bingo!! We have a winner!

A. Crowley has just volunteered to help make and dispense pancakes at the FaceLift. It's clear from his posting that he has fearsome expertise in the delicate art of pancake making - I expect he'll be tossing them in the air and catching them, possibly blindfolded. Perhaps he'll provide lesser mortals, such as Nita and myself, with lessons. Learning at the feet of the master...

ps His shift starts at 5:00 AM.

A.C., nita chooses not to drive, that really does not make her a bad person, it just makes the roads safer.

Pancakes with egg on top-is called a Gibbs- at TML.

tortillas = to much work.

Umm yes, forgot about including eggs. Important to maximize the cholestorol. Pancakes (thin, thick, whatever - what if I make waffles?), butter & syrup, coffee, juice, bacon, sausage (real and faux), and eggs. What else?

nature (and Summit) are being held in reserve, and have crowd control capabilities other than just sushi making, if you know what I mean.

Morning bump, so the weekday shifts don't miss anything.

I suggest that people bring mitts, bats, and balls - you never know what we might get up to. Frisbees and such, too.

Whatever else, don't forget to bring utensils - knife, fork, spoon, chop sticks, plate, cup, bowl etc. In keeping with the spirit of FaceLift, there will be no disposables available, whether for the SushiFest, the pancake breakfast, or otherwise. We will, however, provide hot soapy water to wash your dishes, and hot rinse water with a touch of bleach in it.

Also, if anyone can bring firewood - a lot of firewood - that would be very helpful.

Nature,

Myself and my fiance (she'll be my wife by then!) will definitely be attending the Sushi Fest.

I am super psyched about the dinner. I wanted to attend the little dinner you had planned in Tuolumne, but I got side tracked by climbing in Olmstead Canyon.

Also, just to clarify, I am trying to get a potential sponsor to pay for the Sushi Fest or part of it. The NPS wouldn't/couldn't pay for this kind of event. Hopefully we can find a sponsor though, and I'll keep trying. We shall see.

See you then,

Jesse

Hello everybody!

The raffle prizes are starting to come in at a rapid pace. I still have some free camping available though it is getting snatched up quickly. I think it will be a good turnout. See you there and thank you all.
