Bobby,
Wonderful news to hear you are making your way back. Let's plan to do 'Bruce's crack' on the Island again one of these days. I'm thinking that was your first roped climb while you were in middle school.

Your friend and FAMILY support system is amazing and heartwarming. My best to Ann and Faith... you are the quintessential belayers!

He Bobby,

I'm feeling a bit like this long distance friend that you see only once in a while, but always with good contact. I just wanted to let you know I'm still there, reading the forum, seeing how you are doing. Great news Faith is sending out, great to read some words of your own as well. You're one lucky bastard having a family and friends like that (excuse my Dutch) :-)
Cheers Bobby, all the best!

September 25 Update

Dear Everyone,

I hope this email finds you all well and at peace in your lives. I have once
again been remiss in keeping you abreast of Bobby's progress and I'm really
sorry (but see below for an update from my mom)! However, no news is, once
again, good news.

I've been gone for the last 2 weeks, but when I return, I'll send out
another note written from Bobby to all of you. In the meantime, my mom has
written a wonderful update below with all the latest.

Many thanks again for the continued support, visits, calls, emails,
thoughts, etc. We are ever aware of this and always grateful.

Lots of love to all,

Faith

Subject: Hi from Denver/please forward

Greetings family and friends!

I've been holding down the fort in Denver these weeks (with Jim's
valuable visits) and watching Bobby dig in with renewed therapies as
an outpatient at Craig Hospital. This is a positive step as they will
definitely push the limits and move things along. We will get some
help organizing the big move to Cody as well which will ease up on the
stress!

Nothing like the weekend, especially a beautiful one. Bobby and I and
Evan, the nurse who rides a Harley and sports a LONG handle bar
mustache, took in a second IMAX, Alaska, this afternoon at the Museum
of Science. A great hit with many "WOWS" from Bobby on seeing
caribou migration and humpbacks thrashing in the sea. Afterward we
rolled over to the cafeteria for coffee, Bobby's first. Iced decaf
latte with a straw (another difficult passage). Thumbs up! The smiles
are heart warming.

So it goes with us and the neurons. The many days wear and tear but
there is also joy and thanks for having a great guy and son, Bobby,
with us all. Big Bob arrives tomorrow to be with Bobby, cooking soft
food, transporting Bobby to Craig for many therapies, and organizing
our dedicated and hardworking crew of nurses. I'm hoping he will fix
the light fixture in the living room and the silent Ipod. Faith is in
Kenya working on her Sudan project but has left us wholly incapable
of trouble shooting the Ipod.

More in a few weeks but this comes with best wishes and again, thanks,
for all your support. It carries us for miles and miles and more miles.

Love, Anne and Bobby

Hey Bobby, It sure has been a while since I have written to you, but you have always been in our thoughts. Kyle and I have been crazy busy, business has been good this year and hopefully 09 will be even better. We have been spending a lot of time working in Sheridan, as well as some good projects here in Cody. We are looking forward to the winter and getting out sand doing some skiing.I haven't been on my ski's in about three years. We are crossing our fingers that Sleepy might open.
Yesterday my wife Heather and I celebrated Jaidyn's 3rd birthday. What a wonder it is to look at the heart of a young child. Makes you think about how precious life really is and how important family is. As I read other messages on this forum I see the strength of your family, friends, and your own inner strength. You are an inspiration to all of us. Keep working hard, we are proud of you.

It's great to hear you're coming home and I'm sorry to have not written for so long!
I started my snowkiting season yesterday in the Bighorn Mtn's and missed your work. I badly need a photographer to help document my new winter passion and spread the news about the potential of this growing sport.
Take care and we'll see you soon on 12th Street.

Hey Bobby,
Can you see me jumping up and down??? I am so excited to hear that you will be coming home soon! My, how time flies. I have been so busy. The building is complete and I can't wait for you to see it. It is beautiful. There has been much action at the Collier Group. Mike is gone and they put me in as the acting Director for now. (What are they thinking?) Lots happenin'. You will not recognize the new building. It is brick now instead of the white rock on the outside, but it is lovely.
I really can't wait to see you. I have looked forward to that day for a very long time. I can't wait for you to be home and settled in in Cody Country again. We really miss you alot.
Todd's new endeavor at snow kiting is a kick in the pants to watch. Kirt hasn't committed to doing it yet, I think that noncommittal comes with age. Actually, I kind of like that noncommittal. I am kind of selfish that way.
The boys each lost a tooth 3 weeks ago and Cache just lost his second one yesterday. Cache is the younger of the two, so Brinson is falling behind. We had to be sure to explain that this is not competition though, or we would have two very toothless little boys. They are really something to see and watch grow. They never cease to amaze the heart of their mom.
You keep healing and getting better and getting stronger so that you can return to the wilds of Cody that you love so much and know that there are a lot of us here with open arms ready to wrap them around you and give you those hugs that we long to give to you. In the meantime, give your mom a hug from me and tell her that I can't wait to see her smiling face again.
Sorry it has been so long since I have written. I have been too busy to write, but know that I am never too busy to welcome you into my thoughts regularly.
Take care and I will see you soon!

Hi Bobby and Faith

I looked after Bobby in the ICU in south africa and still checking update regularly here. I am always overwelmed at Bobbys progress! Bobby, I left my job as a nurse and doing fulltime photography now. I'm opening my own studio in January, and will send you a image. We're also heading strong in our plans to klimb kiliman in Kenia next september!

Well- all that is well to you. And kisses and hugs to Faith and Anne.
