Hans-Peter,
Thank you so much for keeping us informed. Please relay to Faith that we are praying for and thinking of Bobby. If we could physically be there, we would. Know that we are there in spirit and a minute does not go by that we are not thinking of your family.
We love you. Tell Bobby we're here.

Dear friends

Today was tough.

Bobby had a brain scan this morning. The doctors tell us that his condition
has deteriorated. The contusion appears to have spread and is putting
pressure on his brain stem. He is not in any pain and his vitals are being
kept stable. He has not regained consciousness.

We expect some additional procedures tomorrow and will let you know the
outcome.

The hospital and the nurses continue to be tremendously supportive and
professional.

Bob, his dad, is arriving later tonight.

Love from all of us

Hey Cody folks,
warm wishes to all of you!
People all over the world are praying for Bobby.
He is one of the toughest, resilient guys i've ever met.
Sometimes things get a little worse BEFORE they get better and that is clearly the case here. Thanks for the updates from SA, while I am almost scared to answer the phone or read the news, it's good to have an update from the source.
The most positive healing energy I can conjure is sent to Bobby,
Bob, Anne, Faith the Nielsons and all the rest of you great people that are assisting.
Let's keep our heads up.

PS GOD please get cracking on this Bobby is a busy guy!

I met Bobby and the Cody Gang at the University of Wyoming. Bobby actually took me on one of my first climbs at Ve da Voo. I have always thought Bobby was amazing.
This whole situation saddens me and my family deeply.
I work in medicine now , and know they do amazing things, I have hope. I think Bobby is strong, and with loved ones at his side, and positive thoughts and prayers from around the world he can pull through.

I wanted to reiterate what Erynne and the others have said, thank you for keeping us informed. We are all hanging on for each bit of information, so than you for the updates. I know I’m not the only one who feels so helpless being this far away. Pat’s right about things getting worse before getting better. I have a co-worker who suffered a very similar head injury, and was left in the same state as Bobby. Like Bobby, after several days he took a turn for the worse. He was unconscious and unresponsive for over six weeks, and then slowly he came around. I don’t think anything can keep Bobby down for long. Bob, Anne, and Faith, we love you and our prayers are with you and Bobby.

It's amazing how tragedy reminds us what is really important in this life-the lives that we touch and the memories that we make. Bobby has touched lives and created memories all over the world, and now we are all united by that. I have not spent much time with Bobby in many years, but seeing his photography shows me what an amazing person he is, and makes me hopeful for his recovery. We are praying for him, and for you, Faithy, and for your family.

My deepest sympathy and prayers for my friend and climbing student Bobby Model. My Brother Todd and I taught Bobby the art of alpine exploration. His vision of the outdoors and the people of other cultures is a true inspiration to us all. Let us hope for recovery for him and peace to his family.
