My brother and I were walking in Newport, OR. When we came across a wallet...Looking inside I found $900+!!! I asked my bro if we should try and return it...He said to look for some form of ID, which we found, but also in the process discovered a little black book! In this there were connections, weights for delivery and such. I said to my bro that this was a speed dealer and hell if I was going to give the money back!! So we kept the dough and dropped the wallet of in the nearest mailbox for the post to discover and turn over to the right authorities...

Was cruising down a dirt road in baja and came across a knapsack laying in the middle of the road. Looked inside and found hundreds of U.S. dollars, passports belonging to two germans, their plane tickets and other important docs. We managed to find them about two days later in some dusty little town. Turns out they had a flat tire and pulled the pack out when they were getting out the jack and spare!

climbers guide to Tuolumne Meadows; $200 cash in a wad; great futon frame and mattress (in Berkeley, ditched by students)...

I'm still waiting for that hitchhiking 11d girl going to Yosem. Might even settle for 10a if she has a rack (no - I didn't mean it that way)

My dog Lass and I found each other on the road. She then followed me home, followed me into my adulthood and now she's cruising around in my heart.

Anastasia,

That's how I found Mafic T. Wonderdog. I was out on a training bike ride and this puppy ran out in front of me barking. No houses around, no other animals, nothing. I put her in my shirt and rode home.

Had that dog with me for 13 years. Lasted through several long term relationships and a marriage.

She was a great companion on mtn. bike rides until she got old.

That was similar to Lass. She followed me home from elementary school when I was ten. My family posted her picture around but no one to my great happiness claimed her. She was the best dog we ever had. She kept me alive and sane during the rough times of growing up. She even came along with me to college. Lass passed away at a very old age when I was twenty-four.

Yet I know that if it is possible for a spirit to hang out after they have passed, Lass is still following me just out of sight.

Stop to take a leak out in the desert and saw what I thought was a kleenex flower in the nearby sage. Walked over to pick-up the trash and it was a wadded up $100 bill.

Fifty dollars, a fishing tackle box-filled with lots of expensive gear, a -5 gallon-Caltrans water jug, and a baby doll.

The best thing I ever lost on the road: A brand new... North Face- Chamois sleeping bag. I was in the middle of a- six week bike tour.....BIG BUMMER!
