Good looking pup!

I'm not as up on dogs as I thought I was. I don't know what a "Chinee-fightin'-dog" is.

Right now she looks more like a "lap-dog".

Thanks! Yes, poor Jaybro was visiting during Jake's turn. Jake lived a great life...just the day before he was humping Steelmonkey's dog Riley ;/ He is missed everyday!!

Cracker our other Chinese-fightin'-dog needs someone to teach the ropes as Jake did for her.

It's amazing how much you love your pups eh?

This was this afternoon.......

Awwwwwwww Susan--Thank you!

Jake was one good looking lab. I saw him when he was big as a seal, and I saw him after he'd joined Weight Watchers and got all svelt...and he was just damn handsome either way.

And what a lover! Don't think he ever met a person he didn't like, did he?

Well, I'm glad he went out doing what dogs do best, and having you and Russ there to love him.

Nora's just so darn adorable! Happy Puppy you guys!

Todd, speaking of twins.... both Russ & Amber are working me over to go get one or both of the sisters. Triplets at the Humane Society.

Shar-pei/Heeler mix puppies. One sister is tri-colored (mostly blue) and the other with typical markings of a red heeler. Then there was sister #3 which ran the full shar-pei coat and no markings of a heeler at all. That would be our Nora.

Do it, Russ!

Crimpie's right--it would be horrible if they gassed Nora's family.

Nita's right, too--you'll find a home for the pups you can't keep, and you'll save Nora's family. Look at all the options for homes just on ST!

That totally warms my heart. I got up this morning feeling horrible about my posts and came to apologize. My bad - sorry. But damn, I hate that these cute little critters get gassed. It's SO wrong. I hope everyone fixes their critters to keep their offspring out of places like that.

Cool thing is that now you guys get to enjoy watching Nora's family grow, she has fun neighbor's to play with, and the neighbor's have all the expenses. Post up some photos of the trio!!

ummm... to clarify.... The other two puppies, Noras' sisters, were adopted, but not by me or the neighbors.... they were taken by unknown puppy adopters. Either way.... pups like that don't last long... Adopting puppies is easy, be a hero and adopt a 12 year old blind dog with hip dysplasia.... or send a check to the Humane Society or rescue group in your area.

I had the pleasure to meet Nora yesterday. What a sweet and adorable puppy. The doc, P. Envy and myself went out to the pit. We had the place almost all to ourselves 'cept for Medium Sooze! Steelmnky, Felicia AND Nora (ok well a few other folks were there but it was amazing we had the place mostly to ourselves considering how awesome the weather is). We come up the trail to be greated by Sooze's wonderful smile. Yet another nice day in the string of almost too many to count.

Crimpie edit: there will be new photos from yesterday at the pit soon methinks (i didn't have a camera)

Well, Nora made her first climbing trip just two days after coming home. Heading north to Flagstaff we started at the Pit.

Felicia kept telling me it would be difficult to train her to NOT chew on the ropes if I continue to make toy's out of webbing....humm....

What a nice day out only to end the day with a surprise meeting of some friends.

Nora...meet the Doctor

And Natures dog Summit

Cuddle time with the man with no face (Greg aka Steelmnky)

We camped up in the forest where we learned she has a taste for organic foods...ie: pine needles, pine cones, sticks, rocks, grass, flowers.........

Next day, the Overlook for some crack climbing. She's an old pro of the leash and trails - almost like she's been doing it for....a day?

Not many photos from Sunday but Felicia took this one while Greg and I were up on a climb. 'bout says it all doesn't it?

Great fun running into Tim, Dave & Nature while out at the Pit. Little Nora was pretty excited to see the big dogs Bosco, Summit & Snook too!

I've got some of the best friends in the world who would take on a weekend with a brand new puppy...climbing, camping, carpooling.... Greg & Felica are the BEST!

How 'bout that Nora?!?! She's a cutie pie!! And super mellow for a pup (bet she'll get over that soon). We think she looks like a lion! Every once in a while, she changes into her ALTER ego, IGNora!!

First road trip photos...

Breakfast play on mom's lap...

Love that sqweaky toy when Riley isn't keeping it away from me!

All wedged in the rocks and fast asleep.

I can sleep anywhere. About two seconds before I took this
photo, she was sort of asleep in the rocks about two feet to
the right. When I went by, she got up, staggered the two feet
to this position, collapsed and went back to sleep. She was beat!

Had to throw in this shot of the steelmonkey pup, Riley, on
his first road trip in the spring of 2003. Awwwwww!

The following are for Anders, Mick, Laura....basically anybody who wants to see pictures of our new dog. Can you tell is slow at work?

Significance of the following photos is that our dog Cracker who LOVES almost all dogs was none-too-happy with me when I brought our little bundle of joy home. We had to spend a week googling how to introduce a new puppy and kept them separated except when on walks or at the crags while on leashes. It was not looking good and it could have taken months for Cracker to get used to her new sister.

Well, I'm very relieved and happy to say that my two girls are now living in harmony.

I hope these make you smile like they do me....
